Shelly Towns (Host)

Shelly Towns serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of Marathon Health, where she leads consumer marketing, B2B marketing, brand management and communications. Prior to joining Marathon Health in 2017, Shelly spent 12 years in a variety of leadership roles at Angie’s List, including brand strategy, digital marketing and product management. Shelly is a graduate of Indiana University and was named to the Forty under 40 class in 2015 and a Woman of Influence in 2016 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. Shelly has been the host of the Marathon Health webinars for a year and loves having casual conversations with thought leaders in the employer healthcare space with the hopes everyone walks away with at least one aha moment.

Efrain "Ricky" Baez Jr. | Co-Host of the HR Talk! Podcast

Efrain “Ricky” Baez Jr. is a published human resources professional specializing in strategically aligning HR competencies to business goals with a down-to-earth, common-sense approach. By focusing on the "H" in "HR", Ricky creates solid partnerships and minimizes legal risk in a fun and vibrant learning environment. He has a passion for helping business leaders go from "here" to "there" using talent management, training and development, and leadership coaching strategies. Ricky is a four-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and holds a Master's degree in Human Resources (MHR) from Rollins College, an SPHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and an SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resources Management. Ricky is also a faculty member for the Masters of Human Resources program at Rollins College in Winter Park, (FL) and is the co-host of the HR Talk Podcast. 

Glen Haskell, Director of Benefits | New Balance

Glenn Haskell is the Director of Benefits for New Balance Athletic Shoe. He has over 25 years experience in managing employee benefits. Prior to New Balance, Glenn managed benefits at Gillette and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is a member of the New England Employee Benefit Council. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from College of the Holy Cross. 

Debby Routt, Chief People Experience Officer | Marathon Health

Debby Routt serves as the Chief People Experience Officer of Marathon Health, which includes responsibility for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Organizational Development and Training. Debby brings more than 30 years of HR leadership and a passion for people and their development to the role. Debby began her HR career in Germany with Boston University and went on to have leadership roles at Allstate, RCI, OakStreet Mortgage, and OneAmerica. While leading HR at OneAmerica, Debby drove the initiative to implement an onsite health center (selecting OurHealth, now part of Marathon Health) and has been a passionate influencer of the employer-sponsored clinic benefit ever since. Debby earned her Master’s in Business from Boston University and is on the executive board for Indianapolis Dress for Success.
